Your Doctor Says Surgery.
Your Body Says Wait.

What if the pain, the tension, the chronic condition you've been told requires surgery is actually your body asking you to listen differently?

You've Tried Everything.
Nothing's Working.

Physical therapy gave you exercises. Pain medication numbed the symptoms. Massage felt good for a day. And now they're scheduling you for surgery you don't want—but feel like you have no choice.

The Diagnosis Doesn't Explain Everything

Your MRI shows structural issues, but something deeper is happening. The medical tests miss what your body is actually trying to tell you.

Surgery Feels Like Defeat

You know your body can heal. Going under the knife feels like giving up on that possibility—and trusting someone else more than yourself.

You Want Sustainable Healing

Not a quick fix. Not another dependency. You're looking for an approach that works with your body's intelligence, not against it.

"Mainstream medicine excels at crisis care—but chronic conditions require a different kind of listening. One that honors your body as the wisest authority on its own healing."

What If Your Body Already Knows How to Heal?

For over 40 years, I've worked with people who were told surgery was inevitable. Athletes facing career-ending injuries. Professionals living on pain medication. People like you—who knew there had to be another way.

What I've learned is this: Your body doesn't speak in words. It speaks in sensation, stress, and mobility limitations. Most of us were never taught this language—so we miss the messages until they become screaming pain.

This work isn't about me fixing you. It's about me helping you decode what your body has been trying to tell you—and giving you the tools to respond with wisdom, not fear.

How This Work Unfolds

This isn't a standard physical therapy protocol. It's a collaborative exploration guided by Gravity & Grace principles— a methodology refined over four decades of helping bodies remember their own intelligence.

1

Deep Listening Session

We begin with your story—not just the diagnosis, but the full context. When did this start? What makes it better or worse? What has your body been trying to tell you that you haven't had words for?

Duration: 30 minutes of the first session

2

Movement Assessment

Through gentle, guided movement, we map where your body is holding tension, compensating, or protecting itself. This isn't about testing your limits—it's about observing your body's natural patterns without judgment.

What we discover here often explains more than any imaging study

3

Gravity & Grace Application

Using breath, subtle movement, and the fundamental principles of how your body relates to gravity, we begin to create openings where there has been resistance. This is active work—you're not a passive recipient, but a full participant in your own healing.

Most clients feel tangible shifts in this very first session

4

Integration & Practice

I give you specific practices tailored to your body's needs—not generic exercises, but personalized tools that continue the conversation between you and your body. These become your daily practice of self-listening.

Independence is the goal; you become your own best practitioner

Chronic Back Pain

"After three specialists told me surgery was my only option, I found Peter. Six months later, I'm pain-free and more in tune with my body than ever. The $500 seemed expensive at first, but it saved me from a $50,000 surgery—and my quality of life."

Anxiety & Tension

"Medications numbed me. Talk therapy helped, but only to a point. This work finally gave me tools to actually feel safe in my own body. Worth every penny—and more sustainable than anything my doctor prescribed."

Important: This work is not a replacement for medical care when surgery is truly necessary. It's an exploration for those who sense their body has more to say before making irreversible decisions.

Is This Right for You?

This work isn't for everyone. It requires active participation, patience, and a willingness to listen to parts of yourself you may have been ignoring for years.

This IS for you if...

  • You've been told you need surgery but want to explore every alternative first
  • You're willing to invest in a sustainable, long-term approach to healing
  • You sense your body has intelligence beyond what doctors are measuring
  • You're ready to become an active participant in your healing, not a passive patient
  • You value depth over quick fixes and are willing to do the inner work

× This is NOT for you if...

  • You're looking for someone to "fix" you in one session
  • You need emergency medical intervention (acute injuries, etc.)
  • You're not willing to practice between sessions
  • You prefer passive treatments (massage, adjustments) over active participation
  • You're seeking insurance-covered, protocol-based physical therapy

The best candidates are people who have tried conventional approaches, felt something was missing, and are ready to explore a methodology that honors both scientific understanding and somatic wisdom.

Common Questions

Do you take insurance?

No, this work is not covered by insurance. Here's why: Insurance-based care requires standardized protocols and time limits that don't allow for the depth and personalization this work requires. You pay directly, which means our time together is focused on your healing—not insurance company requirements.

Many clients find that preventing surgery saves them far more than the cost of these sessions, even without insurance coverage.

How is this different from physical therapy?

Physical therapy is excellent for what it does—strengthening, mobilizing, and restoring function. This work goes deeper. We're not just addressing mechanical problems; we're learning to decode the language of your nervous system, fascia, and breath patterns.

Think of PT as teaching your body what to do. This work teaches you how to listen to what your body is already trying to do—and remove the interference.

Can this really help me avoid surgery?

I can't make promises about surgery because every situation is unique. What I can say: Some clients who were scheduled for elective surgery choose to postpone or reconsider after this work. The key word is "elective"—surgeries you're considering but not emergency interventions.

This approach works best when there's time to explore, when you're willing to participate actively, and when your body still has the capacity to heal (which is far more often than conventional medicine suggests).

What if I can't come in person?

Virtual sessions are available and remarkably effective. I'll guide you through movement observations and practices via video call. You'll need a quiet space, a stable internet connection, and a willingness to follow along.

Many clients actually prefer virtual sessions—they can integrate the practices into their home environment immediately, and there's something powerful about learning to listen to your body in your own space.

How quickly will I see results?

Most people notice shifts in the first session—often a sense of relief, more ease in movement, or simply feeling more "at home" in their body. However, lasting change requires time. Patterns you've held for years don't resolve in a single session.

The real transformation happens between sessions, as you practice and integrate. Think of each session as planting seeds; your daily practice is the watering that makes them grow.

What's your cancellation policy?

I require 48 hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling. With less notice, you'll be charged 50% of the session fee. No-shows are charged the full amount. This policy exists because I limit my practice to maintain quality—when you book a slot, I'm turning away other clients who need that time.
